Yoshida Kenji's "Inochi"
Yoshida-sama was my art mentor and good friend. He recently passed but his work, all of which he named “La Vie” in French or “Seimei” or “Inochi” in Japanese, lives on. I’m deeply indebted to him.
Kyoto is extraordinarily beautiful. The momiji (Japanese maple) leaves were turning crimson, dazzling yellow gold and orange during our trip this past November. Photo by Joni Caldwell.
